CROP NUTRIENTS AND APPLICATION

With so much to do in the spring and fall, it seems timelines are compressed further each growing season. That’s why it pays to partner with River Valley Cooperative for your crop nutrient needs to prepare for each season and get the work done during the critical planting and harvesting seasons. 
 
Whether you need applications or fertilizer deliveries, we will get you taken care of in a timely fashion no matter where you’re located in our sales territory of western Illinois and eastern Iowa.  

SPECIALTY PRODUCTS

In addition to sources of nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium, we carry a wide range of specialty products and micronutrients, including:

MicroSync Pro

Zinc is typically one of the most deficient micronutrients in corn. Because it is immobile in soil and tissue, it’s critical that plants have a constant supply throughout the season. MicroSync Pro provides zinc along with manganese and boron, utilizing Verdesian’s Polymer technology to ensure efficient micronutrient uptake by the plant. It also keeps nutrients available to the plant all season long.  

Sulfur

Essential for both corn and soybeans, sulfur is increasingly deficient in soils. We apply sulfur in three applications to maximize yield. First, we apply MicroEssentials S10 (12-40-0-10S), typically in the fall, with dry P and K. Next is ATS ammonium thiosulfate ((12-0-0-26S), typically as a pre-plant application or side dress application. The final application is Take OFF, a foliar nutrition/biostimulant, applied with the post-herbicide or fungicide pass. 

Biopath

This microbial inoculant from Mosaic improves nutrient utilization and conditions for root growth and plant vigor, helping growers maximize ROI from production inputs. It is formulated to be blended with liquid fertilizer or tank-mixed and applied in-furrow, side-dress, or broadcast.
